I think this project fits perfectly in my daily job. This is much like me ! I'm a electronic technician and individual micro entrepreneur at Sao Paulo working installing and fixing computers, networks, security, home automation, telephony. Recently I installed in my house the LinuxMCE and in the office of my father the LTSP 5 and Zoneminder. It's great !

I think that for a while the only way to participate here in Sao Paulo is writing in this forum, right ?

Thankyou for the Project Cauã !

Cezar

There will be several ways of participating no matter where you live.  We will be creating surveys for people to take, and you will be able to help us run those surveys.

We will be asking the community for ideas, usable software for new features, and other types of help.

When we have incorporated these ideas, features and help, we will publish them on the website.

You can then help us test and improve the software.

I'm currently living in the United States but plan on moving back to Brazil in a few months. I would like to know what I would need to participate, being that I am a US citizen wanting to operate a business in Brazil with Project Cauã?

There will be nothing that would stop you from participating in the project, contributing to the project, etc.

If you want to be an SA/E, then I would suggest that you start by studing to pass your LPIC-2 tests of LPI.  We feel that this is a good level of knowledge for the SA/E to have to start their business.

We intend on working with the Brazilian government to make it easier for everyone to set up their own small business.  Actually the Brazilian government has made great strides on this already.

Finally, as a non-Brazilian citizen starting their own business in Brazil, you will have to get the necessary paperwork done for that.  That paperwork is outside the scope of Project Cauã.

Hello Mrº Maddog, the Brazil is creating great bills to make this business easier. I am studying cloud computing to understand the Project Cauã.

Currently there is already some way to participate in the project? Or contribute?

Last night at Barnes&Nobles I've picked up a copy of LInux Magazine (or was it Linux Journal?) and read the last page, describing this project.  This is exactly the type of idea that entices my technical curiosity and makes my heart race - specially on the social and environmental potental impact it has!

We currently reside on the suburbs of Washington DC and my employer is a major player on the VSAT business, where I work as a technical trainer after spending 3 years in the technical support.  I am fluent on spoken and written Portuguese and Spanish.

Our plans are to move back to Brasil within 1 to 3 years from now and I've been looking for the best path to do this bold move.  Project Cauã could potentially offer the path that makes this happen... it would be even better to move back and become my own boss, rather than working for someone else...

Please count on me, it will be an honor!

Hello, I'm from Paraguay, and work in a private university. We are integrating an ICT research project freely and openly with other universities.
I think we could replicate this project in Paraguay, is this possible?
